Who Likes to Paint???

It's amazing what a coat of paint can do to a room isn't it? Todd and I decided this past weekend to remodel both our bathrooms and we had a blast doing it. Emily tagged along while we picked out paint colors and light fixures ans she was such a good sport. And as soon as nap time arrived, Todd and I went stright to work and didn't finish until about 10pm that night. Here's some fun pics of the changes we made. They are practically brand new rooms!!

This is the "Before" picture of the main bathroom in our house, Emily and I call it our bathroom

This is the finished product of the fun ducky bathroom....yes, that is orange paint you see. No joke. You almost need sunglasses when you walk in!! Spongebob there loves it!

Another view of the main bathroom...there's the little stool I made Emily that matches all the rubber duckes and colors

Here is the Before pic of the master bathroom.....otherwise knowns as Todd's bathroom

The finished bathroom...isn't it elegant? Todd decorated it and he did a great job, very resort-like feeling to it

Another view of the romantic bathroom

It was another great weekend and we are hoping to bring our bravery of painting into some of the other rooms in the house...we shall see!!

Ice Ice Baby

Ice is Emily's favorite thing these days. Every time she walks in the kitchen I hear "ice ice" and after I open the freezer she reaches in for a piece and runs away cheerfully. It's a daily thing, so I finally decided to catch it on camera.

Coloring is another favorite past time. Emily did some of this today too - her pictures are priceless. Many colors and many scribbles.

Last but not least, we got to capture our precious little one brushing her teeth. She was using her new stool that I painted in the same rubber ducky theme her bathroom has...She is such a ham isn't she?!?

Getting Older

Why is it that as we get older more and more things go wrong?!? Recently I haven't been feeling well and Todd finally convinced me to go in to see the doctor...after some blood work came back abnormal, my doctor sent me to a specialist. With a lot of unknowns, I went to see the specialist and had more blood taken and it turns out I have a thyroid issue and they are still investigating. It was kind of a scare and ever since the appointments, my health has slowly gotten worse. Any germ that crosses my path, I keep and hold on to until my body just can't take it anymore. I get really weak and sometimes very nausious. Fortunately, this Monday I go back for more testing and to see what kind of medication I need to be on and what exactly is wrong.

Even though I am having health issues, Emily contines to be the light in my every day. And Todd continues to shower me with love and affection. Together as a family we go on and with God's love and guidance I will grow stronger and hopefully will heal. Thank you to all our friends and family for their patience and support.

Happy Birthday Franki!

On Saturday we celebrated Franki's 35th Birthday with a huge party. It all began at the Richardt house where some people met us to have some chocolate cake shots rather than the actual cake. We sang happy birthday and hung out for about an hour and then heading to our favorite club down the road. It's one of those places that you can kick back, play some pool, dance your socks off, and hang out all night long. There was about 20 of us at the bar and we danced literally until 2am!! It was such a blast! The band announced Franki's big day and we rocked out. Here's some pictures of the pre-funk at our house.

It's hard to see but on the counter is the cake plate of a mini cake in the middle and the chocolate cake shots surrounding it. It looked awesome if I do say so myself!
